Chelsea are reportedly preparing a new offer to convince Inter Milan to part ways with teenage midfield prodigy Cesare Casadei, who is valued at €15 million.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Chelsea are gearing up to submit a fresh and improved offer to secure the signing of Italian midfield sensation Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan.

Casadei is widely regarded as one of the finest prospects in Italian football. The 19-year-old has been making waves with Inter Milan’s Primavera outfit at the Under-19 level, bagging 24 goals and seven assists from 65 appearances so far. He is yet to make his first-team debut for the Nerazzurri, but the youngster seems poised for a breakthrough in Simone Inzaghi’s side in the upcoming season.

Casadei’s potential and raw talent has attracted interest from some top clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal. However, it is Chelsea who are currently on the offensive and are pushing to sign the 19-year-old midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.

Chelsea have already added a young midfield prospect to their ranks in the form of Carney Chukwuemeka, who arrived from Aston Villa earlier this week. Following that, it was led to believe that the Blues might not pursue Casadei. But that is far from the case as Thomas Tuchel’s side have no intention of ending their interest in the Inter Milan starlet.

Chelsea have already seen a bid worth around €8 million get rejected by Inter, with initial reports claiming that the Nerazzurri were holding out for €20 million for his services. However, as per Corriere dello Sport, the Italian giants will consider selling the 19-year-old for €15 million.

And it further adds that Chelsea are ready to make an improved offer for Casadei. Although the bid is unlikely to match Inter Milan’s valuation, it is expected to be around €10-12 million, which could convince the Nerazzurri, who are in a bit of a financial muddle.

However, Chelsea will have to battle with Serie A side Sassuolo, who are also keen on signing Casadei. The Blues would hold a financial advantage over the Neroverdi. But, as per the report, Sassuolo are willing to insert a buyback clause in the deal, which Inter Milan can trigger in the future, something that Chelsea are not prepared to do.

So, it will be interesting to see how this transfer race shapes up in the coming days as Chelsea, Sassuolo, and potentially more clubs battle it out to sign Cesare Casadei.
