West Ham United have reportedly tabled a €25 million offer for Piotr Zielinski, but Napoli are holding out for a figure of around €40 million.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, West Ham United made an offer worth €25 million to Napoli to sign Piotr Zielinski. The Polish midfielder could leave the Serie A club, but the Partenopei are demanding around €40 million to sell him in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United have accelerated their transfer dealings in the last week as David Moyes eyes important signings before the season begins. The priorities for the West Ham manager have been to bring in attacking reinforcements, having strengthened their backline with Nayef Aguerd.

Moyes mainly wanted a striker to compete with Michail Antonio, with West Ham reportedly close to signing Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo. Furthermore, the Hammers are searching for wide attackers, but their chase of Piotr Zielinski has recently pointed towards the need for a new attacking midfielder.

The London outfit already have Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini in the central role, but Moyes would like to add another stylistic player to the mix. As a result, West Ham have initiated talks with Napoli to understand the Polish international’s availability, which has allowed them to make the first move.

West Ham have reportedly offered €25 million for the Polish midfielder. However, Napoli are unlikely to accept the proposal, as they are seeking around €40 million for the 28-year-old. The demand from the Serie A giants may be considered steep by those in charge of the London club, but negotiations could continue over the next few days.

West Ham United are also keen on Hirving Lozano and have reportedly kept in touch with Napoli over the potential transfer of their two players. However, it seems Zielinski is the priority player among the duo, and the Hammers are expected to push hard to get the deal done.

As things stand, there is plenty of room to negotiate further and get to a middle ground. West Ham are unlikely to pay Napoli’s asking price for a 28-year-old, but they could explore increasing their current offer of €25 million .
