West Ham United reportedly entered into talks with Napoli for winger Hirving Lozano, with the Mexican available for the right offer.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Napoli could be open to selling Hirving Lozano if the right offer arrives for the Mexican international. West Ham United have reportedly entered into talks with the Italian side, who value the winger at €20 million.

Hirving Lozano was meant to be a game-changing piece of transfer business when Napoli decided to pay big for the Mexican international three years ago. However, the winger has not performed to his optimal levels, scoring only 26 times across all competitions.

There have been whispers about a transfer away from Napoli, who could lose many other players. Having allowed star defender Kalidou Koulibaly to join Chelsea, the Italian club losing other stars such as Lozano, Fabian Ruiz, and probably Victor Osimhen could come as a big blow for their plans for next season.

Sticking with Lozano, the Mexican could be allowed to depart the club if the right offer comes in. Earlier, Real Madrid were reportedly considering a move, but the Premier League looks the likeliest destination for the 26-year-old.

Several clubs keen on the winger when was with PSV Eindhoven, but he chose to join Napoli, who paid well over €40 million for his signature. With two years left on the deal, the Serie A giants were expected to place a hefty price tag, although they reportedly want only €20 million in exchange.

The €20 million price tag seems within range for a club like West Ham United, who are keen on bringing in a new winger. David Moyes wants a wide attacker to compete with Jarrod Bowen. They have been liked with bargain signings such as Dwight McNeil from relegated Burnley, although they might look at more experienced options.

Lozano certainly falls in that category considering his tremendous experience at the top level with PSV and Napoli. The report suggests West Ham are in talks with Napoli for Lozano and may reach an agreement if negotiations continue to go well. However, if other clubs come into the mix, the situation could get complicated for Moyes’ side.

Lozano could become a good option considering his ability to play across multiple positions in the frontline. He could also provide competition for Michail Antonio in the No. 9 role. For €20 million, the Mexican seems like the right signing for Wes Ham United this window.
