Arsenal hope a £30 million deal will be enough to tempt Leicester into selling Youri Tielemans as the Gunners switch their attention towards the Belgian.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are preparing a £30 million bid for midfielder Youri Tielemans and hope Leicester City will accept the proposal. The Gunners have turned their focus on securing a midfielder, and the Belgian has long been touted as their priority target.

Arsenal’s potential chase of Tielemans earlier in the month created plenty of waves on social media. Fans were excited and questioning the choice in equal measure. However, the Belgian seemed like an essential signing for Mikel Arteta’s plans for the team.

Having swiftly secured the signings of Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira without much fuss, Arsenal shifted their focus on Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha. They effectively put the pursuit of Tielemans on the backburner as reports of the Gunners cooling their interest in the Belgian emerged.

However, amid interest from Newcastle United and West Ham United, the Gunners are now ready to step up their chase for the Leicester City star.

The report suggests Arsenal could be preparing a £30 million offer to tempt Leicester into a sale. They reportedly have an agreement over personal terms in place with Tielemans.

There are also whispers about Manchester United joining in the chase, as they have gotten nowhere near signing top target Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. However, multiple reports insist Tielemans prefers Arsenal and Arteta’s project and wants to be one of their important players.

Arsenal have also been linked with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, although Lazio’s massive asking price could scupper their chances of landing the Serbian. They are also tracking Lille Amadou Onana, with reports insisting contacts have been made with the player’s camp.

However, from the look of things, Tielemans remains their priority midfield target, and the Gunners will launch a £30 million bid for the Belgian. Leicester could be forced to accept an offer in that region, considering the midfielder only has a year left on his deal.

Losing him for free would be a financial loss for the Foxes, as they could use the money from the sale to fund new transfers. In all, Tielemans looks like a good fit for Arsenal, and it will be interesting to see if the club moves fast to secure the midfielder amid rising interest from Manchester United and other clubs.
