Real Madrid and Manchester United will reportedly face competition from Chelsea in the race to sign Youri Tielemans in the summer.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Youri Tielemans is the subject of interest from Chelsea over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Leicester City playmaker is also a target for Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Youri Tielemans has established himself as one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League since joining Leicester City from AS Monaco. The Belgian international had initially moved to the King Power Stadium on loan for the second half of the 2018/19 season before completing a permanent transfer in July 2019.

The 24-year-old has turned out 153 times for Leicester City, chipping in with 24 goals and 23 assists. But Tielemans will depart from the King Power Stadium in the summer transfer window, which will be one of the last opportunities for the Foxes to cash in on him as he does not wish to sign a new contract with them. Such a development has alerted Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

The interest from Real Madrid stems from rampant uncertainties surrounding the future of Isco. The Spanish international will likely leave Los Blancos as a free agent, prompting them to enter the market for a new creative midfielder. And Tielemans has emerged as a viable target who can also succeed Luka Modric when the Croat calls it a day at Real Madrid.

As for Manchester United, the Red Devils are scouring the market for a long-term replacement for Paul Pogba. The Frenchman will depart from Old Trafford as a free agent, leaving a gaping hole in the Manchester United midfield department, which Tielemans can potentially fill.

Real Madrid and Manchester United now face stiff competition from Chelsea in the pursuit of the Belgian international. The Blues might need to invest in a new midfielder in the summer, as Jorginho is linked with a return to Italy. Tielemans is thus an option worth exploring for Chelsea.
