Eddie Howe is keen on revamping his frontline as Newcastle United add Armando Broja to their list of targets.

According to iNews, Armando Broja features on the list of potential striker targets for Newcastle United, as the club have been watching the Albanian forward. There are other players considered by the Magpies, as the Chelsea loanee continues to attract widespread interest.

Newcastle United could embark on a significant summer window as Eddie Howe remains keen on making changes to his squad. After a successful January window, the Magpies might make prominent additions in the summer as well.

Howe wants to make additions to his defence, midfield, and to his attacking line. They signed Chris Woods in January, but need to add more quality to their frontline. Apart from Allan Saint-Maximin, the Magpies lack flair and goalscoring prowess in their attacking unit, something the club want to change in the next window.

Howe had recently admitted the need to be careful of the Financial Fair Play rules, even as the club remain linked with some of the most expensive forwards in the current market. They are mentioned in the hunt for €100 million-rated Victor Osimhen and the expensive Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

They have reportedly made the Uruguayan their priority signing, however, they might find it tough to convince the Benfica man to join them ahead of some teams playing in the Champions League. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also on their shortlist, and they might only pursue the striker if Everton suffer relegation on the final day of the season.

In order to add variety to their front line, Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea loanee Armando Broja. The Albanian has shined while on loan at Southampton, netting nine goals in all competitions. Considering Broja is only 20, the numbers are impressive.

There is plenty of interest in the forward, tipped to become one of the leading strikers in the Premier League in the future. Clubs are sensing an opportunity to get the striker from Chelsea in the summer, with West Ham United interested in a £25 million move.

Thomas Tuchel may not consider him to start games regularly, considering the presence of Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the team. With Broja likely to be keen on playing regularly, a summer move could be on the cards. And Newcastle United are in a good position to lure him away and make the Albanian a big part of their long-term project.

Whether Chelsea will sell the 20-year-old striker to a team already considered one of the potential top-six challengers remains to be seen. The Blues have shown a willingness to let go of young players in the past if the offer is to their liking, and a similar case could be brewing with Broja.
