Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly set to send scouts to watch 17-year-old Turkish sensation Arda Guler in action for Fenerbahce against Galatasaray.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Arsenal and Liverpool are planning a scouting mission for Fenerbahce starlet Arda Guler when the Yellow Canaries take on rivals Galatasaray this weekend.

Guler started at the academy of Genclerbirligi SK before making the jump to Fenerbahce in 2019. The youngster has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks at the Turkish outfit, making his first-team debut in August last year. Since then, he has featured 12 times for the senior side, bagging two goals and four assists.

A regular for the Turkish Under-17 national team, Guler has netted four goals in ten appearances. An attacking midfielder who can play out wide, the teenager has attracted the attention of clubs from across Europe, with Barcelona already taking an interest in him. Now, Arsenal and Liverpool have also shown a liking towards the Turkish prodigy.

Arsenal have tasted a lot of success banking on youth under Mikel Arteta. Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli have all become important players at the Emirates, with several other prospects waiting in the wings to make their first-team breakthrough.

So, it makes sense for Arsenal to keep an eye out on youngsters with the potential to strengthen their youth ranks and build players for the senior team from within the club. It has seen them get linked to Scottish defensive prodigy Luke Graham. And Arda Guler has also emerged as a prospective target for the north London giants.

As for Liverpool, they also have a very good crop of young talents coming through, following in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott. The Reds are soon set to add another exciting youngster to their ranks, having struck an agreement to sign Fabio Carvalho in the summer.

Guler could also make his way to Anfield in the near future, with Liverpool now set to send scouts to watch the 17-year-old Turkish prodigy in action this weekend. Apart from Arsenal and Liverpool, Bayern Munich are also set to monitor the teenager, giving an indication of the potential that the Fenerbahce starlet has shown. It will be interesting to see if a transfer battle commences for his signing this summer.
