Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on the progress of Dundee FC prospect Luke Graham, who is currently on trial at Sheffield United.

According to The Courier, Arsenal are among a host of clubs to have scouted Dundee FC’s 18-year-old defensive prospect Luke Graham, who is currently going through a trial at EFL Championship outfit Sheffield United.

A product of the Dundee FC academy, Graham signed his professional contract with the club last summer. He is yet to make his senior bow for the Scottish outfit but has made an impression at the Under-18 level. The teenage centre-back is currently on loan at Lochee United and has been carving out a reputation for himself.

As per the report, Graham has impressed onlookers with his physical stature and his ball-playing abilities. And these qualities of his have led to clubs from England taking note of his talents.

The report states that Arsenal had academy scouts present at Lochee United’s away game against Lethem to watch Graham in action as they look to add the 18-year-old to their youth ranks.

Arsenal have had a lot of success with their academy players of late, with Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe establishing themselves as first-team regulars. Youngsters, in general, are profiting at the north London club, with manager Mikel Arteta not shy of giving them opportunities.

It has led to Gabriel Martinelli becoming a pivotal player along with Saka and Smith Rowe. At the same time, talents like Folarin Balogun and Khayon Edwards, who is attracting interest from Chelsea, are expected to make the transition to the senior side in the imminent future.

So, it only makes sense for Arsenal to keep an eye out for young talents with potential with a view of signing them for their academy and developing them into first-team stars. Graham, to that end, has emerged as one such prospective target for the north London club, who have now scouted him.

Celtic and Rangers are also keeping tabs on 18-year-old Graham apart from Arsenal. The teenage defender has joined Sheffield United on trial this week and will look to make an impression with the Blades. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the left-footed centre-back. For now, though, Arsenal and several other top British clubs are monitoring his development.
