Leeds United have submitted a £3 million offer for Birmingham City’s exciting attacking midfield prospect George Hall, which may be insufficient.

According to Football Insider, Leeds United have submitted a £3 million bid, including add-ons for Birmingham City teenager George Hall. The Championship club are expected to reject the offer, as they may look to keep the 18-year-old.

Leeds United are set to be busy in the fortnight before the transfer window shuts. The Yorkshire side are looking for further reinforcements, having seen several players arrive at Elland Road after some high-profile summer sales.

While they are continuing their pursuit of star players to improve their first-team squad before the transfer window closes, Leeds United continue their planning for the future and are keen on Birmingham City’s George Hall.

The exciting attacking midfield prospect has been garnering rave reviews with his performances for the U-23s and U-18 sides of the Championship club. Moving to a Premier League side may tempt him, but he is still a raw talent and could benefit from staying at Birmingham where he is getting regular playing time.

Leeds United, though, are keen on the 17-year-old youngster and have already proposed a £3 million offer for Birmingham to consider. The offer includes performance-related add-ons. The Championship side are unlikely to accept those terms, as they may look to keep Hall in their team.

Hall was recently integrated into Birmingham City’s first team squad and scored in his first game this season in the 1-1 draw against Watford. The Championship side sees plenty of promise in the youngster and would be keen to develop him further.

Leeds have been searching the market for some young talents, as their interest in some exciting teenage prospects indicated. Carney Chukwuemeka was one target before he signed for Chelsea in an £18 million deal. They have also managed to secure the signing of striker Sonny Perkins after his contract with West Ham United.

As for their pursuit of Hall, it will be interesting to see whether Leeds comes back with a more substantial offer and tempt Birmingham City into selling their highly-rated 17-year-old prospect.
