Valencia are reportedly keen on signing Bryan Gil, with the youngster is not considered a crucial part of Antonio Conte’s plan at Tottenham.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham prospect Bryan Gil is a key target for struggling La Liga giants Valencia, who may have some funds to disperse after recent activity. The potential sale of Goncalo Guedes could spark some activity for Los Che, who want the Spurs youngster as a replacement.

Valencia have struggled financially for many years, yet there is no respite in sight for the Spanish side. Their inability to spend money has seen many vital targets slip away from their grasp, with new manager Gennaro Gattuso left frustrated ahead of the new season.

Recently, Valencia wanted Lucas Torreira but could not cough up €6-7 million for the midfielder. The Uruguayan international will play for Galatasaray in the 2022/23 campaign, highlighting Los Che’s inability in the transfer market. They now want to explore a move for Tottenham prospect Bryan Gil.

The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season with Valencia after being deemed unwanted by Tottenham manager Antonio Conte. The Spanish whizkid played regularly in the latter part of the 2021/22 campaign and has since returned to Tottenham.

There has been considerable interest in Gil from multiple clubs. Sampdoria are keen on signing him, but Tottenham may consider keeping him to see how he responds to Conte’s methods in the first part of the season.

On the other hand, Spurs could be open to letting the youngster leave, as they already have sufficient personnel in the wide-attacking positions. Ideally, they would be looking to loan the player out since he only arrived last summer.

There is also interest from Cadiz, although the most significant attraction from Bryan Gil’s perspective could be a return to Valencia. In a positive week for the club, they may have some funds to spend since they have agreed to sell winger Goncalo Guedes to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to Gattuso, Valencia will receive a lot of money for Guedes, and they could reinvest some of the funds. Bryan Gil is being considered as a replacement. Whether they intend to make a permanent offer or a loan proposal remains to be seen. But a move back to La Liga could be on the cards for the Tottenham prospect.
