Tottenham will need to take a decision on Bryan Gill’s future as Cadiz show an interest in the Spanish youngster.

According to Diario de Cadiz, Bryan Gil is a target for Cadiz this summer as the Spanish minnows ponder an approach for the youngster. Tottenham have the attacker locked for another four years, although he may not feature in Antonio Conte’s plans.

Tottenham signed Bryan Gil from Sevilla last summer, paying €25 million and allowing Erik Lamela to go the other way as part of the deal. The Spanish youngster was tipped for great things after enjoying his breakthrough in Spain, and many felt Spurs might have gotten their hands on a terrific prospect.

However, things have not gone to plan for Bryan Gil in north London, as he has made only nine appearances for Tottenham, all off the bench. After Antonio Conte arrived to replace Nuno Espirito Santo as manager, the Italian did not count on the 21-year-old at all, leading to the winger joining Valencia on loan in January.

The decision to send Bryan Gil on loan to Valencia proved correct for Tottenham, as the youngster managed to play regularly in La Liga. Meanwhile, Conte led the team to a top-four finish, fighting off the battle with north London rivals Arsenal.

Gil is set for a return to Tottenham ahead of the pre-season camp. And Conte could evaluate the idea of keeping him around, but the imminent acquisition of Richarlison from Everton may signal otherwise. However, with Steven Bergwijn likely to depart as well, Gil could have room in the squad, although the 21-year-old is not expected to play regularly.

So, Tottenham have to make an important decision with regard to the Spanish international’s future this summer. Valencia had pondered a permanent transfer for Bryan Gil, but financial terms may not favour the club.

Now, Cadiz are keen on the wide attacker and are considering making an approach for his signing. Then again, the financial demands from Tottenham could scupper any hope of a permanent deal, but the La Liga minnows could consider a loan move if the conditions are right.

Cadiz have ambitions to progress within the league and are looking at players who could bolster the quality of their squad. A loan move for Bryan Gil makes sense, considering that the 21-year-old has experience in La Liga and can add some much-needed bite to their attack.

The final decision over the 21-year-old’s future will remain with Tottenham. If Conte feels there is no room for Gil in his squad, the club might look to offload him. However, considering the investment they made in him last summer, and the promise the Spaniard carries with him, a loan move might be the best option for all parties involved.

Loan him to Everton to get prem experience

100% we should keep the lad on the books, loan him out to one of the promoted teams to get a season under his belt.
Then decide on his potential… to good a talent to not be given a long term strategic chance to succeed.
