Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United have been sounded out by the agents of Arnaud Kalimuendo, who is a target for Leeds United.

According to 90 Min, Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United have been offered an opportunity to secure the signing of Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, who is a target for Leeds United.

Kalimuendo spent the last couple of seasons away on loan at RC Lens and gained valuable experience while also making a huge impression on several clubs across Europe. In 65 appearances for the French side, he scored 21 goals and set up six more.

Clubs within France have shown an interest in signing him from PSG, but Leeds United have emerged as the strongest suitors for the 20-year-old striker. The Whites are in the market for a new forward to cover for and compete with Patrick Bamford, who struggled with injury problems in the previous campaign.

Leeds United were believed to be closing in on the signing of Kalimuendo but the move has hit a snag as PSG manager Christophe Galtier has been impressed with the youngster in pre-season and wants to take a longer look at him before sanctioning a sale.

Despite this, the centre-forward’s representatives have reached out to several clubs in England to offer the 20-year-old. Indeed, as per the report, Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United are among the teams to have been given a shot at signing Kalimuendo.

Crystal Palace might need a new forward as Christian Benteke is being linked with a summer exit. With Odsonne Edouard and Jordan Ayew far from prolific, another goalscorer could boost the Eagles’ attacking arsenal. Kalimuendo could thus become a viable target for Patrick Vieira’s side.

Everton are also on the lookout for attacking reinforcements after having lost Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur. The Toffees had made Armando Broja their top target, but the Chelsea ace is likely to join West Ham United. So, Frank Lampard’s side must look at other options, and Kalimuendo could be the solution for Everton.

Newcastle United have been chasing Kalimuendo for a while now and could decide to ramp up their pursuit of the PSG star after missing out on Hugo Ekitike, who has signed for the Parisian giants. Callum Wilson’s injury issues are well-documented, and Chris Wood is not exactly a prolific goalscorer. So Eddie Howe’s attack can use a boost in the form of Kalimuendo’s signing.

Leeds United have not backed out of the pursuit despite the transfer stalling. But with more clubs emerging in the race, only time will tell where Kalimuendo ends up this summer.
