Newcastle United have offered around €20 million, including bonuses, for Arnaud Kalimuendo, with the 20-year-old available for a transfer away from PSG.

According to Media Foot, PSG have placed Arnaud Kalimuendo on their transfer list, with Newcastle United interested in the 20-year-old forward. The Magpies have reportedly made an offer worth €20 million, including bonuses, for the Parisian forward.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to dispose of with few players in the current window, including those who offer great promise for the future. Technical director Luis Campos is ready to shake things up at the club, having placed at least eight players on the transfer list, including Arnaud Kalimuendo.

The 20-year-old forward enjoyed a successful season at Lens on loan last time out, scoring 12 times in Ligue 1. The striker would have loved to continue his career at PSG, but the club’s star-studded forward line will not allow him to flourish in Paris.

Hence a move away from the club makes sense, and there’s significant interest from Premier League clubs. Newcastle United have been keen on the striker as Eddie Howe continues his search for an alternate forward option to compete and complement Callum Wilson.

Newcastle were recently linked to Duvan Zapata from Atalanta, although the prices quoted for the experienced Colombian may have compelled the Tynesiders to look elsewhere. Having tried to sign Hugo Ekitike earlier in the window, the Magpies want a forward who can add a different dimension to their attacking play.

Kalimuendo is the latest player to feature on Newcastle’s list. According to the French publication, the Magpies have lodged a €15 million offer for the player, which could rise up to €20 million when bonuses are taken into account. It is still shy of PSG’s €25 million asking price for the forward, in whom Leeds United are also interested.

Newcastle will be hoping the current offer of €15 million, plus €5 million in bonuses, is accepted by the Ligue 1 champions. A move to St James Park could be great for the 20-year-old Kalimuendo, as he looks to take the next step in his career with him having no place at Parc des Princes anymore.
