Wantaway Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a mind-boggling £2 million per week contract by a Saudi Arabian club.

According to CNN Portugal, as relayed by The Sun, Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has received a massive contract offer worth around £2 million per week from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club this summer.

Ronaldo is in his second stint at Manchester United after returning to Old Trafford from Juventus last summer. While the 37-year-old enjoyed a prolific campaign on a personal level upon his return, the team struggled to live up to expectations, finishing outside the top four in the Premier League.

With no Champions League football on offer and the lack of intent shown so far in the transfer market, Ronaldo has reportedly grown disillusioned at Manchester United and has informed the club that he wants to leave. There are not many teams in Europe who can afford to sign the Portugal captain.

Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for Ronaldo, while Chelsea have also decided to call off their pursuit of the Manchester United icon. PSG were offered the chance to sign him but have turned it down as well. It has left the 37-year-old with few options. And now, he has been presented with an opportunity to move to Asia.

As per the report, an unnamed club from Saudi Arabia is ready to offer £25 million to Manchester United to secure the services of Ronaldo. On top of that, the Middle East outfit are willing to hand the Portuguese maverick a massive two-year contract worth £211 million which works down to a weekly salary of £2 million.

However, despite the lucrative contract offer, Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to have his head turned. The wantaway Manchester United superstar believes he still has three to four years of top-level football left in him and wishes to play in the Champions League. So, a move to Saudi Arabia can be ruled out at this point.

But with there being very few clubs who can match his wages and ambitions, Ronaldo could very well be forced to stay put at Manchester United, with manager Erik ten Hag recently insisting that the Portuguese forward remains a part of his plans.
