Barcelona are reportedly preparing a €50 million offer to sign Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are now preparing a new offer for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. The Blaugrana have made the Poland international their top target for the summer and are now readying a €50 million bid for him, as per TZ.

Barcelona aren’t the only club interested in Lewandowski’s signature with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the race as well. But as per Romano, the 33-year-old still prefers a move to Barcelona, with whom he has already agreed on personal terms.

The Catalan giants signed Memphis Depay last summer while adding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres in the January window. But they are still keen to add a world-class attacker to challenge Real Madrid for the La Liga title next season.

Lewandowski still has a year remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich but he has confirmed that he will not be staying with the club anymore and is looking for a summer move. The former Dortmund striker recently reiterated his desire to leave the club and stressed that he just wants the ‘best solution’.

“I still have one year left on my contract, that’s why I’ve asked the club for the go-ahead for a transfer. I think that in the current situation it’s the best solution, especially because the club can still receive money for the transfer,” Lewandowski told Bild (via MARCA).

“I don’t want to force anything, it’s not about that. It’s about looking for the best solution. Emotions have to be cooled down, I want to speak calmly and not through the media,” he added.

Bayern Munich reportedly want at least €50 million for Lewandowski, and with no dearth of potential suitors, they should get that amount for the striker.

Chelsea are preparing for life without Romelu Lukaku, who is set to return to Inter Milan on loan, and have set sights on Lewandowski, among other options. Thomas Tuchel’s side are also said to be working on a move for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and are confident of getting the deal through.

PSG, meanwhile, are still searching for their elusive Champions League title, and even after tying down Kylian Mbappe on a new contract, are on the lookout for reinforcements in the attacking department, leading to the interest in Lewandowski.

Despite the links to Chelsea and PSG, Lewandowski has made it abundantly clear that he wishes to move to Camp Nou. Should Barcelona come up with the necessary offer of €50 million, they should be able to get their man this summer.
