Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is reportedly warming up to the idea of moving to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

According to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, Frenkie de Jong has admitted privately that a switch to Manchester United in the summer transfer window appeals to him. The Red Devils are currently negotiating a deal with Barcelona, who will demand around €80 million to part ways with the Dutchman.

Frenkie de Jong has become one of the hottest properties in the market due to Barcelona’s financial woes. While the 25-year-old wants to stay put at Camp Nou, the Blaugrana will need to cash in on him to lighten the wage bill while funding moves in the summer transfer window.
