Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, who is also a transfer target for Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham.

According to a report from Calciomercato, the race for the signing of Juventus and Sweden winger has intensified further as Bayern Munich have joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in his pursuit.

Kulusevski signed for Juventus from Atalanta back in January last year, following which he spent the second half of the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Parma. Upon arriving in Turin last summer, the Swede was given a prominent role in the first-team setup by then-manager Andrea Pirlo but failed to make the kind of impact that was expected of him.

Even then, the 21-year-old managed to produce a decent tally of seven goals and assists apiece in his debut campaign. However, the new season has been problematic for the Swedish international as new manager Massimiliano Allegri does not see him as a regular in his plans. This has resulted in Kulusevski starting just two Serie A matches this term.

With question marks being raised over his future due to his current predicament, several top clubs in Europe are queuing up to sign him, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and now Bayern Munich all throwing their hats in the ring.

The interest from Arsenal in the 21-year-old Kulusevski does not come as a surprise considering the youth-centric approach that manager Mikel Arteta has resorted to this season. Furthermore, with Nicolas Pepe continuing to falter more often than not, the Gunners may decide to cut their losses on him and place their faith in a younger talent such as Kulusevski.

As for Tottenham, their interest in Kulusevski dates back to the summer, with the arrival of Fabio Paratici as the sporting director playing a key role in this matter. The Italian signed the youngster at Juve and is now keen on bringing him over to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to support an attack that has failed to click this season.

With Lucas Moura not getting any younger and Steven Bergwijn failing to kick on, there could be room for a talent like Kulusevski, who is ready to explode. However, apart from their local rivals, Tottenham will also face competition from Bayern Munich in pursuit of the Swedish international.

The Bavarian giants are in a precarious position concerning the future of Kingsley Coman. The Frenchman’s contract with Die Roten runs out in eighteen months, and talks over a new deal aren’t progressing well, leading to speculations over his future. There has been significant interest in his services, and Bayern could potentially be looking at Kulusevski as a replacement for the ex-Juventus man.

With interest mounting in the 21-year-old and him not being a major part of the plans under Allegri, a parting of ways could very well be on the cards in the weeks to come. Who among Arsenal, Tottenham and Bayern Munich come out on top in this battle remains to be seen.
