According to an exclusive report by The Sun, Fabio Carvalho has turned down the chance to sign a bumper new contract with Fulham. Such a development has handed a major boost to Real Madrid, who are among the clubs keen on signing the 19-year-old attacking sensation.

Fabio Carvalho has been with Fulham since 2014, having joined the London club’s academy from Balham in 2014. Since then, he has come leaps and bounds, making his first-team debut last term before becoming a regular for the Cottagers.

The 19-year-old has made a solid start to the 2021/22 season, managing three goals and an assist in seven appearances in the Championship. However, Fulham are in a precarious position over his long-term future, with the player in the final year of his contract with the club. Such a situation has alerted Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are constantly on the lookout for the best up and coming prospects across Europe and beyond. Such an outlook has helped them discover players like Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes, who are regulars in the first-team setup at the Santiago Bernabeu.
