Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool remain interested in Jude Bellingham and have been in contact with the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
A recent report from 90 min has offered an update on the future of Jude Bellingham. The 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund sensation has been regularly contacted by Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea following a successful debut season in Germany.
However, the Bundesliga giants have no intention to sell the English midfielder anytime soon, even extending his contract until 2025 and doubling his salary. The player himself is happy in Germany, as he hopes to establish himself as a key player for the Black and Yellows that could go a long way in helping him gain a place in next year’s World Cup team for England.
Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, though, remain interested in snapping him up much earlier, with Liverpool, for one, even weighing up a potential bid of around £80 million next summer.
It is apparent that Jurgen Klopp is determined to sign a new midfielder soon, having failed to secure a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer. Liverpool are among the clubs interested in the services of Franck Kessie and have even been proposed a rather ambitious swap deal involving Thiago Alcantara.
But Bellingham would certainly represent more quality and most importantly, potential. At the age of just 18, the youngster has already established himself as one of the young leaders in the BVB squad, which is also why Manchester United could be looking at him as well.
After failing to sign a new midfielder in the summer, the Red Devils remain keen on bringing in a long-term replacement for Nemanja Matic next summer. Although Bellingham is not a number six, his box to box qualities and attacking prowess make him an ideal upgrade over the much-maligned Manchester United midfield duo of Fred and Scott McTominay.
Chelsea’s interest, meanwhile, is not surprising either, as Thomas Tuchel is preparing for the future ahead. N’Golo Kante is nearing the final phase of his career while Jorginho’s agent has recently fueled rumours of his potential return to Italy, thus accentuating the need for a young midfielder.
The Blues have been linked with a swoop for AS Monaco’s rising star Aurelien Tchouameni. But Bellingham, who is likened to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, could be a much more sensible investment, although the reigning European champions will need to fork out a sizable fee if they are to get their hands on the Borussia Dortmund star anytime soon.

All in all, an intriguing transfer saga seems to be setting up and it will be interesting to see if any of Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United can make any progress in pursuit of Bellingham. The 18-year-old English sensation is certainly starting to become a hot property and Borussia Dortmund are sure to battle hard to keep hold of his services.
