PSG have reportedly approached Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah over the possibility of making the switch to Parc des Princes from Anfield this summer.
According to French outlet Telefoot, Mohamed Salah has emerged as the priority target for PSG to replace Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window. In fact, the French giants have already established initial contacts with the Liverpool superstar’s representatives to scour the possibility of a move.
Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017 and was an instant hit at Anfield, as he played a leading role in the Reds’ run to the UEFA Champions League final while winning the Premier League Golden Boot in his maiden campaign with the club. A season later, Salah was at it again, as the Reds established themselves as a European powerhouse.
As Liverpool became European champions for a sixth time, Salah was a pivotal figure for them while also winning the Golden Boot in the Premier League again, this time sharing it with Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 28-year-old then played a leading role as Liverpool won the league title for the very first time in the Premier League era.
And, while he has blown hot and cold in the ongoing campaign, Salah still remains the resounding top scorer for Liverpool. Till date, the Egyptian superstar has a brilliant tally of 122 goals and 45 assists in 195 appearances for the Merseyside giants. However, ahead of the summer transfer window, he faces an uncertain future at Anfield.
With Liverpool set to undergo a squad overhaul following a disastrous defence of their Premier League crown, there are suggestions that Salah could leave to seek greener pastures. This has opened up the door for one final big move for him, with Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid linked with him, while PSG are interested in snapping him up as well.

PSG are in a precarious position over the future of Kylian Mbappe, who has coincidentally been rumoured to be a priority target for Liverpool. In fact, it has even been suggested that the Reds might not be averse to the idea of cashing in on Salah to land Mbappe. As for PSG, they are eager to secure Mbappe’s long-term future, but have been unable to reach an agreement over a renewal.
Such a predicament has forced them to look for possible replacements in the market, with Salah being their priority. In fact, PSG have already sounded out the Liverpool superstar’s agent over a possible summer deal. Having said that, it will be interesting to see if the French giants are forced into the market for a replacement for Mbappe, and if that replacement ends up being Salah.
