Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes are set to return to the starting XI while Alex Telles remains unavailable as Manchester United face Arsenal on Sunday.

Manchester United will be looking to continue their impressive run of form when they play hosts to bitter rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils come into the game on the back of an impressive 5-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for the team. However, new signing Alex Telles will miss out once again after testing positive for coronavirus.

“Alex won’t be ready, no. Apart from that, I would think everyone else, at the moment, looks like they will be involved,” Solskjaer said in his pre-match presser. United will also be without Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly who are out injured while Anthony Martial also misses out due to suspension.

Manchester United’s performance against Leipzig was top-notch, but there are likely to be a few changes to the side that featured in midweek. No alterations are expected at the back though, with David de Gea set to continue in goal, guarded by a backline of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Solskjaer is likely to stick with the diamond midfield formation that worked very well in midweek. However, personnel changes are a certainty in the middle, with Scott McTominay expected to come in for Nemanja Matic at the base.

Paul Pogba enjoyed a fine performance against Leipzig in the UCL and drew a lot of praise from Solskjaer ahead of the game. “Paul can do everything on the football pitch, more or less. He can play long passes, he can get into the box, he can make combinations outside the box. He played really well,” the Norwegian said.

The Frenchman is expected to retain his spot on the left side of the diamond formation, with Fred holding onto his place on the right. At the tip though, there should be a change. Donny van de Beek started in midweek, but his wait for a Premier League start ought to continue as Bruno Fernandes is expected to replace him on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford was the star of the show in midweek, scoring a sensational hat-trick after coming on as a substitute. The England international is a surefire starter against Arsenal this weekend. With Martial unavailable, the 23-year-old is likely to be partnered by Mason Greenwood in attack with Edinson Cavani providing an option from the bench.

Manchester United Predicted XI: de Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay; Fred, Pogba; Fernandes; Greenwood, Rashford
