AS Roma are reportedly set to hand Cengiz Under a new long-term contract amidst interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City.

According to an exclusive Calciomercato report, Cengiz Under is set to be rewarded for his impressive form with a new long-term contract at AS Roma. The youngster is also drawing interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich among other top European clubs.

Cengiz Under has been garnering interest in his services for a while now. Even before AS Roma nabbed the player in the summer of 2017, The Turkish star was drawing interest from the Premier League. Now at AS Roma, he has backed the promise he showed with consistent displays in Serie A.

The 2018-19 season has started on a positive note for Under, who has 2 goals and 4 assists so far in just 8 games in all competitions. His performances in attack have been essential for Roma so far while his work rate is something that has become the highlight of his playing style. Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are monitoring the star closely.

Arsenal seem stable at the moment under Unai Emery and find themselves on a nifty little run. But, the manager will be well aware of the lack of natural options out wide for the club. Under, with his technical ability and interchangeability could gel in well with the other attackers within the lineup.

Manchester City are absolutely stacked in attack at the moment. The likes of Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane were already a force to be reckoned with in their Premier League winning campaign last season. Pep Guardiola chose to reinforce the flank with Riyad Mahrez.

And while the Algerian is taking time to adapt, Bernardo Silva seems to be slowly gaining in stature and importance within the City first-team setup. Sterling though, is linked with a move to Real Madrid while Sane could also be on his way out after earlier rumblings of a potential fallout with the manager. Under could be an apt replacement for either.

Bayern Munich could really use injection of fresh faces out wide, especially with the club in crisis mode after a torrid period without wins under new manager Niko Kovac.

With Under drawing widespread interest, AS Roma are now clamouring to get the 21-year-old to commit to a new bumper deal. The attacker is currently the lowest earner at AS Roma, earning around a million euros per year including bonuses. AS Roma intend to bump the wage up to €2.5 million per year.

The Italian side are hoping the hike in wages would be enough for Under to reject the advances of Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
