Juventus have lined up Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante as the ideal replacement for Manchester City target Miralem Pjanic.

According to shocking reports from Calciomercato, Juventus have entered the race to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The French superstar has been identified as the ideal replacement for Miralem Pjanic, who could be closing in on a move to Manchester City.

The Premier League champions are understood to be plotting a £58 million move for the Bosnian International. As a result, Juventus are planning an ambitious move to land Kante this summer in order to replace the former AS Roma midfielder.

The Italian giants have already spent huge bucks in the market thus far, notably completing the stunning coup of Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this summer. They have also secured the services of Joao Cancelo and Douglas Costa, who has moved in permanently from FC Bayern.

However, Ronaldo’s arrival, in particular, has crept in a series of speculation regarding the long-term future of some of their key players chief among whom are believed to be Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic.

Both of these players were Juventus’ top earners prior to Ronaldo’s arrival and while Higuain is almost destined to leave the club this summer, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported last weekend that Pjanic is also angling towards a move away from Turin. Thus, N’Golo Kante is definitely a viable target for the Bianconeri.

The Frenchman is highly regarded as one of best midfielders in world football, which was certainly reflected in his performances at the 2018 World Cup. The former Leicester City midfielder was integral to France’s setup under Didier Deschamps as Les Blues finally managed to lift the coveted trophy after a long wait of 20 years.

Aside from his performances on the international level, Kante has also been quite consistent in the Premier League and was notably one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dire season for Chelsea last term.

His ability to recover the ball coupled with his flawless ball-circulation and sharp movements in the middle third makes him an ideal fit under the tactical philosophy of Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. Thus, the Frenchman could certainly play a key role as the Serie A giants look to make a bigger impression in Europe next season.

That being said, it’s highly unlikely that Chelsea will be willing to let go of their prized asset. As iterated earlier, Kante has been a vital player for the Blues ever since joining the club in 2016. And fans will definitely be excited to see how the newly appointed Maurizio Sarri manages to bring the best out of the 27-year-old midfielder in the upcoming season.
