Real Madrid are reportedly scouring the prospect of targeting Juventus striker Paulo Dybala as an alternate option to Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Real Madrid are laying down contingency plans in case they are unable to sign Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard. Despite being confident of landing the Barcelona target, Los Blancos have identified Juventus forward Paulo Dybala as an alternate option, should Hazard not join the club this summer.

Eden Hazard seems to be on the move, judging by his recent remarks. But, Barcelona are seemingly a new entrant in the race. On the other hand, Maurizio Sarri’s comments proved that Chelsea will fight to keep Hazard. All this might run Real Madrid into some trouble.

Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen to embark on a new journey in Serie A with Juventus. Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale might be on their way out of the club as well. While Julen Lopetegui needs quality players to replace the aforementioned stars, Florentino Perez would also want to welcome a new commercial face of the brand that is Real Madrid.

And there is no one hotter than Eden Hazard in the market right now. The Belgian was one of the standout performers at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and has been one of the best players in the Premier League for years now.

But, if there is one player that might be able to do the job as ably as Eden Hazard, it is Paulo Dybala. The player, along with Gonzalo Higuain, are being linked with an exit from Juventus since Ronaldo’s arrival.

The Argentine did have a subdued World Cup. But, it was more due to Jorge Sampaoli’s inadvertence towards selecting the forward than his own performance.

As far as club football goes, Paulo Dybala has had a momentous rise in stature since joining Juventus. Seven titles with the club along with one season as the top scorer, Dybala has established himself as one of the best in the business. His ability to score despite playing as a second striker is underrated by many.

With Cristiano Ronaldo now set to be the focal point of attack at Juventus, Dybala could use a move to start his own new journey, in a different league.

Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the Argentine. But, Liverpool have signed Xherdan Shaqiri, with Nabil Fekir still a possibility. Manchester United could come swooping in. But, the European champions present a better shot at success for Dybala than United.

The move will hinge on Real Madrid’s ability to land Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Eden Hazard. But, you do have a feeling that Paulo Dybala will be on the move this transfer window, be it to Real Madrid or someplace else.
