PSG are reportedly keen on making a move for Keylor Navas next summer, with his future at Real Madrid highly uncertain.

Spanish publication Don Balon have reported that PSG are eyeing a summer move for Keylor Navas in order to take the next step in their evolution into a more well-rounded world-class outfit. The Costa Rican shot-stopper is facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid, with Florentino Perez lining up goalkeeping reinforcements.

Navas joined Real Madrid after a hugely impressive campaign in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and has since established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. However, the Costa Rican has had his share of ups and downs, with his position at the Bernabeu constantly under a threat over the last two seasons.

His form hasn’t been great either, over the last twelve months, having managed to keep just 11 clean sheets in 53 appearances across all competitions. More glaringly, Navas has been error-prone since the start of the 2016-17 season, which has sought to make matters worse for him.

Having looked unconvincing in the early stages of the current campaign, Florentino Perez has decided to take matters into his own hands in order to reinforce Zinedine Zidane’s goalkeeping options, even though the Frenchman has constantly imposed his faith in Navas.

David De Gea still remains a top target for the Real Madrid President, but Kepa Arrizabalaga is the goalkeeper who looks destined to become the next number one at the Bernabeu. Meanwhile, the Costa Rican’s time at the club appears to be coming to an end and he does not have a dearth of suitors in his pursuit.

PSG are the latest club to register an interest in the 30-year-old, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi sanctioning the move to boost the goalkeeping options at Parc des Princes. Indeed, neither Kevin Trapp nor Alphonse Areola have managed to be reliable, and the goalkeeping spot has been a major problem area for Les Parisiens.

With the PSG President eager to create a truly world-class outfit that can challenge for the Champions League, Navas has emerged as a viable target. The shot-stopper would be open to a switch to the Parc des Princes as well, with his future at Real Madrid up in the air, and it remains to be seen if the move sees the light of the day.
