Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with PSG attacker Lucas Moura over a possible move in the summer.

According to Lucas Sposito of Sport Witness, Manchester United have made contact with Paris St. Germain star Lucas Moura, with a hope of luring him to Old Trafford once the transfer window commences in July.

It was earlier understood that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was looking to bring Chelsea winger Willian to the club in the summer. However, after he learned that the Brazilian is content with life at Stamford Bridge, he has now turned his attention to his compatriot.

Moura is no stranger to be linked with a move to United as he was nearing a switch to Old Trafford in the summer of 2012. His former club Sao Paulo and the Manchester outfit had even reportedly agreed a deal for the player.

Although, the transfer fell through as the then United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was unwilling to match the high asking rate of the player’s agent, which then saw him move to Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain.

After enjoying half a decade in France, the time may have come for the Brazilian to make a move, and he is once again linked with Manchester United. He is unlikely to come on the cheap as his former club are entitled to receive an amount of the profit due to a sell-on clause.

Mourinho will be looking to add to his roster in the summer, and Moura could fit the bill for the Manchester outfit. He is on the back of an impressive season with the Ligue 1 giants and would be a vital signing for the Red Devils.

He found the back of the net on 19 occasions in all competitions this season, and has showed tremendous signs of progress under new manager Unai Emery. Moura, who is also being targeted by Arsenal, has now started to be more clinical in front of goal, and his movement on and off the ball has been exemplary.

The United boss loves his side to play on the counter attack, and Moura possesses just the adequate amount of guile to hit the opposition on the break within the blink of an eye. He is also a better suited right wing option to the likes of Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata.

As mentioned earlier, Moura is unlikely to come on the cheap for United, and it remains to be seen whether Mourinho is willing to spend that amount of money for a player who is not a regular starter for his nation.
