Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Everton are reportedly among a host of top clubs all tracking Inter Milan wonderkid Zinho Vanheusden.

Italian publication FC Inter News are claiming that a host of top European clubs are showing interest in Inter Milan wonderkid Zinho Vanheusden. The youngster is on the radar of clubs like Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Everton, Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and a few others as well.

The report states that representatives of these clubs were in the stands to watch the player represent Belgium as the Azzurri played out a 1-1 draw against Belgium Under-19 in the Second Stage of European Under-19 Championships.

And that his performance was really positive, which means the scouts would have sent glittering reports of the player back to their employers. Zinho Vanheusden is generating a lot of interest, which goes to show how big a talent the Inter Milan youngster is.

Zinho joined the Inter squad from Belgian outfit Standard in August, 2015. The player has since progressed from being a part of the Under-17 team to being one of the first names on the team sheet of the Under-19 side and is expected to make the senior cut soon.

This season, he has made 21 appearances in total and his contribution to the attack, with 4 goals to his name, shows another side to his defensively strong duties. The centre-back can certainly go on to become one of the commanding defenders in the future, who can both be a defensive acumen while being a threat from set-pieces.

Chelsea seem to have a business model of signing young players with a bright future with the aim of selling them on a premium after developing the player within the system or through loans.

While the Blues have often been castrated for their model, it has yielded brilliant players like Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Mohamed Salah among many others, who have all established themselves as regulars for other top clubs.

Borussia Dortmund already have an array of gems at their disposal, with a magnificent young core present at the club. But, Thomas Tuchel’s side has often struggled defensively, something which can be rectified by addition of quality defenders.

But, given Dortmund’s profile of transfer targets, they could go in for an untested Zinho rather than some supreme centre-back.

Everton, on the other hand, have been looking for additions to their options at centre-back. They have been heavily linked with a move for Michael Keane but face several competitors in the pursuit of the newly capped English international.

Zinho, on the other hand, could be persuaded with the promise of first-team football, something which others are unlikely to provide at this stage.

However, Inter Milan are unlikely to allow Zinho, who is under contract with the club till 2019, to leave on the cheap and could slap a heavy price tag on the youngster, which, though, could fail to deter the cash-rich suitors. Let’s see which side is able to get Zinho Vanheusden in the summer, if at all.
