Out of favour striker Loic Remy could be on his way to Leicester City on the transfer deadline days, as Reports from England suggest that Chelsea FC have accepted a bid for him.

Remy has not been the favoured choice at Stamford Bridge, with Diego Cost getting most of the starts up front. This seems to have disgruntled the French striker, as  he goes on the search for more game time. While Remy was linked with a move to a number of clubs, his future seems to be at the current league toppers.

Reports suggest Newcastle United were also trying to sign Remy, but Leaicester City seem to have hijacked the bid on the last day, and they Striker is expected to join the foxes when the formalities are taken care of.

Leicester City pay a little extra for Remy

While Transfermarkt rates Remy to be valued at around £9 million, Leicester City have reportedly offered around £11.5 million for his services, according to the Daily Express. Meanwhile, Remy also had an offer from Newcastle United on his table, but ultimately had decided to go with Leicester City, according to Ben Jacoms of TalkSport.

Pato to be Costa’s understudy?

It was innitially though that Alexandre Pato, who was brought in on loan from Corinthians, would feature on the left wing for Chelsea FC, as they would try to give Hazard some competition for that spot. However, with the Remy bid being accepted, it seems more likely that Pato would be the understudy of Diego Costa in the squad.
