FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has warned Athletic Bilbao from any poor treatment of his Brazilian star Neymar, who was accused of disrespect when the two sides clashed the last time.

Enrique has warned the Basque outfit player’s that accusing Neymar of disrespect due to his skills will not escape the referee’s ire, having ill-treated the Brazil star the last time the two sides clashed.

The Bilbao players reacted violently when Neymar had flicked the ball over one of their players’ head in the closing stages of the 2014-15 Copa del Rey finale.

Enrique warns Bilbao players

With the Catalans set to take on the Basques for the first time since the fiery clash, Enrique has warned them from accusing Neymar of disrespect for showboating.

He was quoted saying by Goal.com: “I’m going to give him advice that he should continue enjoying football.

“He’s not doing anything offensive, it’s his way of playing and people can no longer use being chipped or getting nutmegged by Ney as an excuse.

“There’s no disrespect. If there’s an opponent who doesn’t understand that then there’s a referee who can send him off.”

Enrique responds to Real Madrid ban

Arch rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been sanctioned with a two transfer window ban for failing to comply with the international transfer rules for underaged players.

When asked to give his take on it, Enrique was quoted saying: “I have the same opinion that I had about our own sanction. But I don’t remember it, so you’ll have to pull it out of the archives,” added Luis Enrique.

“I don’t know – there’s not only one single key [to getting through the ban]. It’s so complex and there are so many factors that you cannot say.”
