Raphael Varane replaces Harry Maguire in defence, while Cristiano Ronaldo, Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho start for Manchester United against Arsenal.

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has made some notable changes to the starting XI that lost to Liverpool last time out for their Premier League clash against Arsenal.

The biggest change sees Harry Maguire getting axed from the lineup in favour of Raphael Varane, who has returned from injury. The Frenchman partners Victor Lindelof in defence. Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles line up as the full-backs after the latter did not play against Liverpool. David de Gea continues to guard the Manchester United goal.

There is another notable change in the middle of the park as Scott McTominay is back from injury and starts. He replaces Paul Pogba, who is out for the season. Nemanja Matic and Bruno Fernandes, who also captains the side, complete the midfield unit for Manchester United against Arsenal.

Up ahead in attack, there are two significant changes as Cristiano Ronaldo is back after missing the last game due to personal reasons, while Jadon Sancho also starts, having been left out of the lineup in midweek. Anthony Elanga retains his place in the side, with Marcus Rashford getting axed.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Telles, McTominay, Matic, Fernandes, Elanga, Ronaldo, Sancho.
