David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo return in a much-changed side as Manchester United prepare to take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made wholesale changes to the side that started in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup earlier this week, as Manchester United get set to play hosts to Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The first shuffle comes in goal, where David de Gea comes in for Dean Henderson. In front of him, Manchester United appear to be lining up in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation, with Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire forming the central defensive partnership, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw being the two full-backs.

Up ahead in midfield, Scott McTominay and Fred look set to pair up in the double pivot, with Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic dropping to the bench. McTominay and Fred’s presence in the double pivot means Paul Pogba will once again start from the left wing, with Jadon Sancho making way.

Joining Pogba in the Manchester United attacking are Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood. Greenwood will be stationed on the right flank while Ronaldo will lead the line for the hosts against Aston Villa, with Bruno Fernandes playing off of his compatriot.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: de Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Pogba, Ronaldo
