Thiago Silva is the Chelsea skipper while Tammy Abraham comes in for Timo Werner as the Blues gets set to take on Burnley at Turf Moor.

Frank Lampard has made five changes to the side that started in the 4-0 win over Krasnodar in the midweek UEFA Champions League fixture as Chelsea prepare to lock horns with Burnley at Turf Moor. There are no shuffles in goal, where Edouard Mendy remains the undisputed first-choice custodian.

The first couple of changes come in the backline. Thiago Silva replaces Antonio Rudiger at the heart of the Chelsea defence, where he has Kurt Zouma as his partner. Reece James comes in for Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back, meaning Silva dons the captain’s armband for Chelsea. On the left flank, Ben Chilwell starts again.

Up ahead in midfield, the double pivot has an entirely new look, with N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount starting in place of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic. However, there is no replacing Kai Havertz, who reprises the no. 10 role once again.

Finally, in attack, the final change to the starting lineup sees Tammy Abraham start in place of Timo Werner. Abraham leads the line for Chelsea against Burnley, with Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech being the two wide men for the visitors.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, James, Silva, Zouma, Chilwell, Kante, Mount, Havertz, ZIyech, Abraham, Pulisic
