Jamie Carragher has walked down memory lane ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Everton, recounting some of his favourite Merseyside derbies.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Carragher recounts a lot of brilliant stories including how he should have had a penalty given against him in the last minutes of a derby, and how he thought Duncan Ferguson would always step up for derbies. He starts off with a story that is unlikely to go down well with Reebok, and claims he “never wore Reebok boots again” after an incident.

Carragher also goes into detail about how he fouled Lescott who was “too big and powerful” for him so he decided to just pull the former Everton defender to the ground in the final seconds of the game and closed his eyes waiting for a whistle.
