New Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has drawn comparisons with club legend Eric Cantona. However the Frenchman has a message for Zlatan which the Swede striker may not take too kindly to.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most well-known footballers in the world and his attitude off the pitch have entertained fans as much as his abilities on the pitch. However the precedent for a player with an attitude was set by Manchester United and France legend Eric Cantona.
King Eric, as he is reverently referred to, recently spoke out about Zlatan’s arrival at Old Trafford in his role as self-elected “commissioner of football”. After congratulating him on his decision and wishing him the best, he told the Swede that there could only be one king at Old Trafford.
