Iceland has certainly captured the imagination of all with their incredible run to the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.

The nation with the lowest population in the tournament (a little over 320,000, according to a 2013 census), even managed to complete a memorable 2-1 defeat of England, who have the most lucrative domestic league in the world.

It is the Viking chant of their amazing 30,000-strong fan base that will be remembered by all who followed the 2016 European Championships.

However, what we saw inside the stadium was nothing compared to the reception that the Icelandic national team received when they went back home after suffering a 5-2 defeat at the hands of host-nation France in the quarterfinals.

Here’s a video of the amazing Viking chant that the fans conducted to receive the football team on their return to the capital city of Reykjavik.
