La Liga giants Barcelona have unveiled their new kit, which is based on the 1991-92 Blaugrana team that won the club’s first ever European Cup.

Barcelona are going to go traditional in the new season, after sporting a red and blue hooped stripe shirt in their double winning 2015-16 campaign. The most notable aspect of the new kit is the absence of the sponsor’s logo in the front.

Barca signed a sponsorship deal with the Qatar foundation in 2013, and their logo had been emblazoned on the team shirt for the past three years. However, the sponsorship deal ended this season without being renewed and kit sponsors Nike insisted on an early release of the kits in order to boost sales.

It is reported that the club will have a main shirt sponsor by the time the new season starts.
