Alexis Sanchez provided the cutting edge for Arsenal as his brace helped them to a 2-0 victory over West Brom at the Emirates Stadium. The win helped the Gunners leapfrog Manchester City into third place in the league table.

Sanchez looks to be back to his swashbuckling best after being waylaid by a mid-season injury. The Chilean midfielder scored in the 6th minute of Arsenal’s home game against West Brom and followed it up with another first half goal to all but decide the game in favour of the Gunners.

In a well-rehearsed set play, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud ducked from their positions in the wall in front of goal, opening up the space for Sanchez to fire one in past Ben Foster.
