Real Madrid are fresh from their Champions League triumph and we prepare a list of three players they must sell in order to make the way for new signings and make the squad more stronger for next season.
Real Madrid fans are on cloud nine these days as their side has finally won the La Decima after 12 years. Last season was a very successful for Blancos as apart from Champions League, they also won the Copa Del Rey.
Now, coach Carlo Ancelotti and president Florentino Perez has already started preparing for the next season as both had a brief meeting yesterday. It is being reported that the main agenda of the meeting was to make a plan on how to approach this transfer window.
It is but obvious that Real Madrid fans are excited about the players who are coming in or the ones who are being linked with the club. However, apart from shortlisting the new targets, it is also equally important for both Ancelotti and president Pererz to decide on who are no longer required at the club.
THT has prepared the list of three players Real Madrid must sell in order to make the way for new signings.
1. Fabio Coentrao: The Portuguese left-back has always been a back-up of Marcelo at Santiago Bernabeu. No doubt Coentrao is a great player and his defencive play is better than Marcelo (which is the reason why he got selected ahead of Brazilian in UCL), but now Sevilla’s Moreno the new target, time has come to say good bye to the player. Premier League side Manchester United is reportedly interested in Coentrao and Madrid can fetch a good amount by selling Coentrao now than to wait for another year.
2. Casemiro: Real Madrid signed the Brazilian midfielder last year from Sao Paolo and the player was never able to make his mark in past one year. Madrid already possess wealth of talent in the central midfield area as the likes of Luka Modric, Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira and Asier Illaramendi; all are more talented than Casemiro. Madrid are also interested in Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. If he arrives, Casemiro will not get any chance to play unless two or more of them get injured. Hence, now is the time to sell the young Brazilian. Italian giants Inter Milan are said to be interested in his services.
3. Alvaro Morata: Alvaro Morata is a product of Real Madrid youth team and has developed his skills in past two seasons. But as Real Madrid prepare to move for Luis Suarez, time has come to sell him and get the maximum possible returns. Morata was not able to get a regular playing time last year also as he was considered as the back-up of Karim Benzema. And now, if Suarez arrives, he will struggle even more to get the playing time. However, Real Madrid must try to insert an option of buying back in his sell contract.
The likes of Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba are being linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer and when Blancos set their sights on, his market price goes up sharply. Hence, Madrid must try and make maximum possible money from their sales too.
