Wilfried Zaha has completed his loan move from Manchester United to his former club Crystal Palace as he looks for regular first team action.
Wilfried Zaha was signed by Manchester United in winter transfer window of 2013, but was immediately loaned back to Crystal Palace as he helped his former club to attain promotion back to the Premier League. Zaha didn’t receive too many first team opportunities under David Moyes in 2013/14 as he made only four appearances for the club. The England international was again sent out on loan in the winter transfer window this year, this time to Cardiff City.
His lack of first team action has stalled his development after being rated as one of the brightest young prospect in England initially. In order to gain regular football, Zaha has now joined his former club on loan as he hopes to help Palace maintain their Premier League status this season.
“Crystal Palace are delighted to confirm that winger Wilfried Zaha has re-joined the club on loan from Manchester United.
“The two-cap England international has agreed a deal that will see him spend the entire 2014/15 season at Selhurst Park.” – Read an official statement published by Crystal Palace.
Zaha’s return coincides with the return of Neil Warnock as the manager of the club. Warnock expressed his delight at having secured the signing of Zaha and feels that this move could be mutually beneficial for both parties.
“There’s a nice vibe around and I’m happy to be here. I was happy when I was here before.
“I think Wilfried needs us like we need Wilfried. He’s been at a big club like Man United, and it is a big club, and he’s probably got a bit lost in the chambers there.
“He could have gone to three or four clubs and I think people think wrong of him at times with what they say about his attitude.
“Wilfried has always had a great attitude for me. He wants to learn he wants to do extra training so we are going to let him do that.” – The Crystal Palace manager said.
