Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has insisted that former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo will end his career in England.

Is he burning out too?

Cristiano Ronaldo was recently crowned with the Ballon D’or award, where he beat Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich winger Frank Ribery for the honour. The Portuguese international, who has been in scintillating form this season, has earlier been linked with a move back to England with Manchester United reportedly desperate in re-signing him. It was earlier revealed that United defender Rio Ferdinand has tried hard to convince him to return to Old Trafford, a ground where he developed as a footballer under Sir Alex Ferguson. Ronaldo for his part has always expressed his love for his former club, but considering his big contract and sky high wages, a move back to the Red Devils looked highly unlikely. But, now former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has insisted that Ronaldo will end his career at England.

Calderon believes that Ronaldo doesn’t have a good relationship with current president Florentino Perez, unlike to kind of warm relation he had with Sir Alex at Manchester United.

“I do not think he will finish his career at Real.

“I feel that one day he will return to England. In Madrid, he is pleased with the city and the fans. But I think his relationship with Florentino Perez is not as good as it was with Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

“Ronaldo loves father figures. With Florentino, he does not have that rapport.

“The relationship is bad or actually non-existent. He stays at Real despite the chairman.” – The former Real Madrid president said.

Ronaldo was a big part of Perez’s election campaign when he regained Real Madrid’s presidency and the Portuguese international was part of the new “Galacticos” that Perez wanted and promised to to build. But Ramon Calderon’s comment must be taken with a pinch of salt as he has always had his issues with Perez at the helm of the club.
