Liverpool Keen To Sign Victor Moses On Loan; Tottenham Hotspur Interested In Hulk

Liverpool Looking To Loan Chelsea Attacker Victor Moses

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Victor Moses on loan; a deal looks on the cards after the arrival of Willian.

Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of Willian from Anzhi yesterday. Jose Mourinho now has a host of attacking talents to choose from in the squad. The London club has already signed Andre Schurrle this summer, and with the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Kevin De Bruyne present in the squad, the future of Victor Moses has come under speculations.

The Nigerian international arrived from Wigan back in 2012, but has failed to establish himself as a regular start in the team. The 22-year-old made 23 appearances in the Premier league last season, but he started in only 12 of those games. With the new arrivals this summer, he has fallen further down the pecking order. Chelsea are reportedly not interested to sell him, but are willing to send him on loan to another club this season.

Reports suggest Liverpool are interested in signing him on a season-long loan deal. Brendan Rodgers sees him as a fine addition to the already strengthened Liverpool attack this summer. Chelsea are asking for a £2million loan fee for the Nigerian, but Liverpool are looking to secure his signing on ‘reduced terms’. Moses’ high wages is also a cause for concern for the Merseyside club, it will be interesting to see if Chelsea agrees to make a part of his wage.

Although Moses plays mostly as a right winger, he is versatile enough to play anywhere across the attacking trio behind a front man. The former Wigan man is known for his pace and strength and is extremely potent on the counter-attack. Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market this summer, and the arrival of Moses could further enhance their credentials for a top-four finish this season.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Looking To Sign Hulk; Close In On Lamela

Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing their move for Erik Lamela, while a move for Brazilian forward Hulk looks to be on the cards.

The London club have left no stone unturned to strengthen their squad this summer. After a host big name arrivals, Spurs are now looking to add two more attackers before the transfer window closes. With Gareth Bale close to completing his world record transfer to Real Madrid, Spurs are looking sign Erik Lamela and Hulk as his replacements.

Spurs have made a fine start to the season, with two wins and two clean sheets in as many matches, but Andre Villas Boas sees this as an opportunity to take the club to the next level – from top four contenders to title challengers. Tottenham were close to landing Willian, before Chelsea stepped in and hijacked the move. Spurs were willing to break the club’s transfer record on the Anzhi attacker, but the Blues outbid them in the last minute, even though the Brazilian completed a medical at White Hart Lane. Now Spurs have turned their attention towards to Zenit forward Hulk and reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a £30 million bid for him.

The 26-year-old forward, who was part of the triumphant Brazilian squad in the Confederations Cup, has been in the news this summer following speculations regarding his future at Zenit. After his much talked about move from Porto to the Russian club, Hulk has endured a fairly disappointing season both on and off the field. The forward has failed to make the impact that fans were expecting him to, after the mammoth transfer fee that Zenit paid for his service. Apparently even his teammates weren’t too impressed with his high wage – Igor Denisov and Kerzhakov publicly criticized the club for paying over the top to the Brazilian.

Despite such big names in the team, Zenit failed to win the league. The former Porto man has failed to settle down in Russia after facing criticism from fans (some of which were racist in nature) and was apparently looking for a move back to other top leagues in Europe.

Andre Villas Boas refused to comment on Tottenham’s reported interest in Hulk, but he did insisted that they don’t hold any grudges against Willian for choosing to join Chelsea at the last moment.

“He [Hulk] is not our player, so I find it difficult to respond.”

“Willian has made the choice to join Chelsea. He is a person I have a good relationship with and I wish him good luck – he made a choice he feels is important to his career.” – The Tottenham boss said.

Meanwhile, Spurs are also close to completing their move for Roma youngster Erik Lamela in deal worth over £26 million. The Argentine international missed Roma’s match against Livorno and is expected to arrive in London today. He will be a fantastic addition to the squad and would add a lot of creativity to the midfield, something they have often missed since the departure of Modric.
