Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that he has a lot of respect for Liverpool ahead of his side’s away clash as the Merseysiders are always up for a game at Anfield and are backed well by their fans. Wenger said that the crowd at Anfield is always special as they back their team through glory and despair, “Yes, of course. There’s a special atmosphere. “I have a lot of respect for the crowd at Liverpool because they stand behind their team. I remember one day we were leading 5-1 at Liverpool and they were chanting ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. It’s one of the few grounds in the world where you can see that. There’s a special combination of knowledge of the game at Liverpool and support for their team. Liverpool are slowly getting better, Rodgers insists after win over Bournemouth

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was pleased with the Capital One Cup quarter-final win over Championship side Bournemouth yesterday as his side put in a good first half display and did enough in the second half to qualify for the semi-finals. The Ulsterman revealed in the post-match interview that his side were slowly getting back to their best after a disappointing string of results in the last few months, “It was a tough game coming here. “I know the Championship well enough and I know Eddie [Howe] well enough to know that he produces good footballing teams. “They are a team that has been working very well.
