76. Sanjoy Sen to coach AIFF developmental side Pailan Arrows.
Pailan Arrows were in financial disarray towards the end of season and their tactician Arthur Papas departed to join the Goan giants Dempo SC in a 3-year deal. There were many problems within the club management and the Chit fund scams had affected the Pailan Group as well. There were rumours of dismantlement of the Club also. The air is cleared now with the announcement from Pailan Group regarding the announcement of Sanjoy Sen as the teams new coach for I-League 13/14 campaign. Sanjoy Sen had previously lead Mohammedans Sporting to I-League qualification from second division and afterwards resigned citing personal reasons. Pailan Group has already given the consent for Sanjoy Sen, and are waiting for AIFF to finalize the deal which will done in a few days according to the sources.

77. Churchill Brothers releases Steven Dias, Sandip Nandy, Tomba Singh, Xavier Vijaya Kumar, and Gurtej Singh.
I-League winners Churchill Brothers are set to move towards a new path under Sukhwinder Singh. The club is looking to rebuild their squad and decided to part ways with some of the stalwarts from last campaign. Earlier Churchill Brothers had released all of their foreign players except Henry Antouchet. Now they have decided to put the axe on Indian players and surprisingly Indian Internationals Steven Dias and Sandip Nandy is also in the list. They are joined by Tomba Singh, Xavier Vijaya Kumar and Gurtej Singh on their way out of the club. The logic behind mass expulsion from I-League champions is very difficult to understand, especially when some of them were regular contributors in major competitions.
THT Verdict – Confirmed.
78. Dempo SC signs Prathamesh Maulingker on a permanent deal
Pailan Arrows player Prathmesh Maulingker joins Dempo SC permanently, after spending last year on loan at the club. Even though injuries had limited the defenders role last season, Dempo officials and Arthur Papas firmly believes that he has a bigger role to play for the club in upcoming seasons. The defender had worked with Arthur Papas earlier during India’s U-22 matches and in Pailan Arrows camp. The Aussie coach rates him highly and he joins the Jewel Raja and Gabriel Fernandez in Dempo’s ambitious young group.
THT Verdict – Confirmed.
79. Penn Orji rejects East Bengal’s reduced offer
East Bengal are trying to impose on salary cap on players due to the financial constraints faced by the club. They succeeded in extending the contracts of foreign recruits Chidi Edeh and Uga Okpara earlier on a reduced deal. Similar attempts were in place for extending the stay of midfield stalwart Penn Orji as well. It is rumored to believe that East Bengal are yet to come to an agreement, as Penn Orji has rejected all their attempts to reduce his salary and is looking forward to greener pastures.
THT Verdict – Likely
80. Dempo Chasing Pune FC striker Jeje Lalpekhula.
Young Indian striker Jeje Lalpekhula is highly rated in all the quarters of Indian Football. Even though he had a relative off season with Pune FC last year, he is still a hot property in Indian Football Transfers. Dempo SC coach Arthur Papas is an admirer of Jeje’s qualities and the duo has worked closely together during India U-22 camp. Papas plans were well executed by Jeje and Co during that outing and it is no wonder why the Aussie is chasing his signature for his new spell. Dempo and Papas are planning a new era with the core of the team formed by young Indians and Jeje fits the bill perfectly. It is believed that the contract negotiations are in advanced state and a deal is likely to happen.
THT Verdict – Likely.
