116. Midfielder Shylo Malsawmtulunga  rejoins Mohun Bagan.

Mohun Bagan has finally landed a midfielder after strengthening their defence with the additions of Wahid Sali, Rino Anto and Rowilson Rodriguez. Prayag United winger Shylo Malsawmtulunga joined the Saburj Marine brigade from cross town rivals Prayag United SC.  28-year-old midfielder had joined Prayag United in 2009 after leaving Mohun Bagan AC. The winger had made 16 appearances for the I-League outfit this season, scoring two and setting up other 3 in the process. Bagans midfield was weakened by the departures of Jewel Raja and Snehashish Chakraborthy, was in dire need of midfield addition. Malsawmtulunga will bring the breath of fresh air to the Bagan ranks and he is expected to play a vital role in I-League and Calcutta Football League next season.

117. Goalkeeper Felix Dsouza joins Salgaocar SC after quitting Churchill Brothers.

Churchill Brothers goalkeeper Felix Dsouza joined Salgaocar SC in an attempt to revive his career. Felix was the second choice custodian for the I-League champions behind Sandip Nandy, and found his role limited due to the brilliance of the veteran. The departure of Nandy to Mohun Bagan didn’t give much hopes for Felix as the champions were chasing the signature of Arindam Bhattacharya to guard their posts. It is believed that Felix received a better offer from Salgaocar to switch his alliances. In Salgaocar he will find himself behind Karanjit Singh, but he is not ready to give up and will be fighting along with Pawan Kumar to earn some I-League appearances under his belt.

THT Verdict – Confirmed.

118. Joaquim Abranches signs for East Bengal.

East Bengal strengthened their attacking unit with the addition of Dempo SC winger/striker Joaquim Abranches. Abranches is a good addition to East Bengal ranks and will fill the vacant space left by Robin Singh. Red and Gold brigade has done an upgrade in their attacking armoury, with the addition of Abranches, as the Goan lad is highly rated in all quarters. 27-year-old versatile attacker has made 24 appearance in I-League last season and notched up 6 goals in the process. The versatile player is part of the Indian Football Team and will try to cement his place in the national team with consistent performances for East Bengal.

119. Champions Churchill Brothers releases foreign recruits Lamine Tamba and Balal Arezou.

I-League 12/13 champions Churchill Brothers has decided to part ways with foreign recruits Lamine Tamba and Balal Arezou after an unimpressive campaign. Afgani striker Balal Arezou joined the Champions during the winter transfer window, but failed to get going in the I-League. In his 8 appearances, the striker failed to find the net and was largely disappointing to say the least. He also featured in 4 AFC Cup matches and the results were identical. Senegalese defender  Lamine Tamba was brought in at Winter window to cover for Churchill’s defensive mainstay Bilal Najjarine. Lamine failed to produce outstanding performances which was expected from him. He was roped in to marshal and steady the defence, but he failed to become a beast and couldn’t impress the Churchill officials by his performances. The club officials weren’t impressed by the duo and decided to part ways with them after 6 months with the club.
