111. Mohun Bagan looking to bolster their ranks with the addition of Ranti Martins.

Mohun Bagan are looking to mount a serious title challenge next season with the addition of Ranti Martins to their ranks. Rantis current club Prayag United SC is affected by financial constraints and they are not in a position to offer the same amount of money to the I-League top scorer. Mohun Bagan are trying to make use of the financial situation and it is rumoured to believe that they have tabled a higher package for the Nigerian goal machine. Mohun Bagan’s skipper Odafe Okolie is their leading striker and it will be interesting to see how he welcomes the goal machine. Balancing two big egoes in a club will be very difficult for the coach, and it won’t be a good prospect to field two selfish strikers upfront. If both the players are reluctant to drop their shoulders for the teams cause, then it can derail the whole teams campaign. Even if the mariners convince Ranti to join their camp, it won’t be that exciting for the Sabuj Maroon brigade.

THT Verdict – Possible.
