Intermediaries have reportedly offered Everton and Manchester United the chance to sign 28-year-old Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik from Ligue 1 club Marseille.

According to Karim Bennani, Everton and Manchester United are the clubs who will have the chance to sign Arkadiusz Milik in the ongoing transfer window. The 28-year-old striker faces an uncertain future at Ligue 1 club Marseille this summer.

Arkadiusz Milik was once one of the most promising young strikers in Europe during his stints with Ajax and Napoli. But a spate of injuries has derailed the Polish international’s career, and he is yet to find a stable footing since joining Marseille nearly 18 months ago.

But despite his fitness woes, the 28-year-old has a solid record of 30 goals and three assists in 55 appearances thus far for Marseille. However, Milik might leave Marseille merely weeks after joining the Ligue 1 club permanently, with intermediaries offering him to several clubs across Europe. Two such teams are Everton and Manchester United.

Everton and Manchester United are in the market for a striker this summer, with both clubs keen on addressing the issues in their squads as soon as possible. The Toffees have lost Richarlison this summer to Tottenham Hotspur, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin sustaining another frustrating fitness issue.

As for Manchester United, Edinson Cavani has departed from Old Trafford as a free agent, while Cristiano Ronaldo continues to face an uncertain future at the club. The Red Devils thus need to invest in a recognised centre-forward this summer, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among the players emerging on their radar.

Several strikers also feature on Everton’s wishlist, including Neal Maupay. And while Milik might be an option worth considering for the Toffees and Manchester United, his questionable fitness record might force the two Premier League clubs to look elsewhere in their desperate search to bolster their respective offensive units.

In addition to Everton and Manchester United, intermediaries have also offered Juventus the opportunity to sign the 28-year-old from Marseille. But it will be interesting to see if Milik leaves the Ligue 1 club just a few weeks after joining them permanently, with several clubs in with a chance to land him.
