Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with UD Las Palmas for the sale of academy product Marvin Park this summer.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid and UD Las Palmas have an agreement in principle for the transfer of versatile Los Blancos prospect Marvin Park in the ongoing transfer window.

Marvin Park joined the Real Madrid youth setup in the summer of 2016, arriving from Penya Arrabal. The right-sided winger, who can also play as a wing-back and a full-back, has made 59 appearances for the Merengues’ Castilla outfit, scoring four and assisting three goals. He made his first-team debut for Real Madrid in September 2020 and has played four times in total, registering a solitary assist.

While Park is seen as a talented individual at Real Madrid, there is no clear pathway for him into the first-team setup at the moment. And with the player keen on playing senior football and his contract set to expire next summer, the reigning Spanish and European champions are ready to part ways with the 22-year-old.

Spanish second division side Las Palmas showed an interest in signing Park and now seem to have secured an agreement with Real Madrid for the signing of the former Spanish Under-19 international.

As per the report, Real Madrid have agreed to part ways with Marvin Park but will retain 50% rights of the player as they did with other youngsters such as Takefusa Kubo and Miguel Gutierrez, who departed the club this summer. The former signed for Real Sociedad, and the latter moved to newly-promoted La Liga club Girona.

The report states that Real Madrid and Las Palmas have had an agreement in place over the transfer of Park for a few days now. However, a move has been held up as the lower league outfit need to get rid of some of their current players before being able to incorporate the Real Madrid starlet.

Real Madrid have bid goodbye to several young players this summer, with the likes of Victor Chust, Mario Gila, Kubo, Gutierrez and Andri Gudjohnsen all departing. Marvin Park could be the next in line to leave, and the youngster could be followed by fellow academy graduates Juanmi Latasa and Sergio Arribas, who are targets for Getafe.
