La Liga minnows Cadiz have reportedly tabled a bid to sign 20-year-old Moroccan attacking prospect Ez Abde from Barcelona this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona and Cadiz are closing in on finalising a loan move for Ez Abde before the ongoing transfer window shuts down. The Andalusian minnows have offered a loan fee worth €500,000 while proposing to cover 75 per cent of his wages in the 2022/23 season.

Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, better known as Ez Abde, joined Barcelona from Hercules last summer. The Moroccan attacking prospect has made gradual progress at the Catalan club since then as he has had to suffice with mostly turning out for their reserve side.

The 20-year-old has also featured 11 times for the Barcelona first team, making an impression during a difficult period for the Blaugrana. But first-team opportunities have come few and far between in 2022, with Barcelona embarking on a spending spree to make several attacking reinforcements, including Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski.

The wide-attacking slots are filled to the brim at Camp Nou, so much so that Memphis Depay is out of favour. So Abde will unlikely receive the chance to impress in the 2022/23 campaign and will benefit from joining another club in La Liga, either on loan or permanently. And Cadiz will look to prise the 20-year-old prospect away from Barcelona.

The interest from Cadiz stems from the lack of viable right-wingers in the first-team squad. The Andalusian minnows are prioritising bolstering the right-hand side of their attacking unit, with the senior side having nearly half a dozen strikers instead of having recognised wingers for the flank.

Abde has thus emerged as a viable target for Cadiz, with the Andalusian club already negotiating a move with fellow La Liga club Barcelona. According to the report, they have offered a loan fee worth €500,000 while proposing to cover 75 per cent of his wages.

Abde has also received interest from several other La Liga clubs, including Girona. Recent reports had also claimed that the 20-year-old attacking prospect was open to joining Elche. But a loan move to Cadiz seems to be on the cards for the Barcelona prodigy this summer.
