Spanish second-division club Las Palmas are reportedly trying to sign Marvin Park from Real Madrid this summer.

According to El Nuevo Insular, Real Madrid academy product Marvin Park is on the transfer wishlist of Spanish second-division club Las Palmas, who are in advanced talks with the reigning La Liga champions over a move for the 22-year-old prospect in the summer transfer window.

Marvin Park has been with Real Madrid since the 2016 summer transfer window, joining their under-17 team back then. He has risen through the ranks at the Spanish club and finally made his first-team debut in the 2020/21 season, playing four games for Los Blancos in La Liga, even providing an assist.

For Real Madrid Castilla, the 22-year-old has made 59 appearances across all competitions, scoring four times and assisting three goals. Marvin Park has also featured in 14 matches in the UEFA Youth League, scoring twice and providing four assists in the competition.

The Spanish prospect can play all across the right flank, higher up the attack and also as a wing-back and right-back. In fact, Marvin Park’s only league assist with Real Madrid’s senior side came from the right-back position.

Las Palmas have been in the Spanish second division for five straight seasons now, including the upcoming one and are eager to add reinforcements to push for promotion to La Liga. They finished fourth last season and will hope to go one better in the 2022/23 campaign.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, missed out on their biggest transfer target this summer: Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, who decided to stay put at the Ligue 1 club. The 2018 FIFA World Cup has signed a bumper new contract with the French giants which would keep him at Parc des Princes until 2025.

But Real Madrid have signed Antonio Rudiger in a Bosman move from Chelsea, whereas highly-rated AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni joined them in an €80 million transfer.

Los Blancos are not getting strongly linked with another player yet, but there could be a few departures, including Marvin Park’s. Marco Asensio has also been linked with an exit, and Manchester United are said to be considering a move.
