The Italian club cannot afford his €35 million price tag, meaning the Real Madrid man might depart from the Santiago Bernabeu as a free agent.
Marco Asensio has reached a crossroads in his career after a productive 2021/22 campaign with Real Madrid. While the Spanish international was the third-highest scorer for Los Blancos last term behind Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior, he finds himself staring at an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, and the two parties are no closer to reaching an agreement over a renewal. Asensio could thus leave the Spanish giants in the ongoing transfer window, with AC Milan among his prospective suitors.
